Amitabh Bachchan and other Bollywood celebs whose Twitter had fallen prey to cybercrime

Amitabh Bachchan become the latest victim of cybercrime. The actor’s profile photo was replaced by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan and even bio was changed. Minutes after the incident, the Twitter handle of Big B was restored but soon Tweeple took note and the incident became butt for several memes. Nevertheless, Amitabh Bachchan is not the only celeb to face such a situation.  Here are other Bollywood celebs who faced cyber crime earlier.

Abhisekh Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan's Twitter account was once hacked by a Turkish group of hackers. They have also been posting cryptic tweets of how they support Turkey with photos of soldiers and warriors attached. He alleged hackers, pro-Pakistan Turkey-based cyber group Ayyildiz Tim, also changed the name of his handle from “JuniorBachchan” to “JuniorBachchana”. "Yes, yes my account got hacked. Quite chuffed that they thought me interesting enough actually 😉. All sorted out now and back to normal. Well.... As normal as it can get he tweeted after account was restored.

Shahid Kapoor

The Padmaavat actor's twitter was hacked when he was busy celebrating the arrival of his second child. The Turkish hacker group specifically write that Turkish invader Alauddin Khilji was not a barbaric invader, as depicted in Shahid's film, Padmaavat.  The hacker has even shared the song Mashallah from Ek Tha Tiger, with the caption, "I love you Katrina."

Karan Johar

Karan Johar's account was hacked back in 2012 along with actor-producer Kamal R Khan. A series of tweets were made addressing Karan  that were so deameaning that he had to delete the tweets. 

Hansika Motwani

Hansika's private pictures were leaked via an Instagram channel, after which the actress reacted with a tweet informing that her 'phone and Twitter account has been hacked' and also asked people to 'not respond to any random message'. 

Shruti Haasan

The predominantly Telegu actress' Twitter was hacked back in 2 years . "Attention ! Some jackass has hacked my Facebook account and we are working on fixing it ! Till then . Kindly ignore ! Thanks" she said. Interesting, the hackers flooded her account with picture of her contenporary , Kriti Sanon.
