Amitabh Bachchan Shares Pic Of Glowing India On World Map; Netizens Warn Him Against Spreading 'Fake' Posts

Amitabh Bachchan retweeted a picture of Glowing India on the world map, that netizens called 'Fake'

Actor Amitabh Bachchan On April 05 observed Prime Minister Narendra Modis's call for switching off lights and lighting candles or mobile flashlight from balcony of their houses for nine minutes. The actor also shared pictures of him pointing torch from his Mumbai residence. However one among the many tweets he shared was a photo of India glowing on a dark world map.

The original tweet read, “When the world was in darkness, India was illuminated. Today’s picture says it all.” Retweeting it, Amitabh wrote, “The World sees us .. we are ONE.”

Soon his followers disagreed to his post and asked him to stop posting fake forwards. “And this is FAKE, sojao sir,” read one tweet. “Don’t use fake pictures and repost done by your irrational person @SrBachchan ji!" read another.

Some of his followers found the post merely metaphorical as a celebration to India's unity amid a gloomy time. 

Amitabh -- who has been at the forefront of spreading awareness about coronavirus --but had recieved social media flak quite some time. Amitabh took to Twitter on Friday to share a video where he talked of Chinese experts discovering that the common housefly, which sits on excreta, can transmit the coronavirus. Netizens called out the actor spreading miinformation as the fact was denied by the health ministry.

Meanwhile the actor will be seen in a short film on coronavirus titled 'Family' with Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Rajinikanth, Mamoothy.
