One particular story to grab everyone’s attention including that of business tycoon Anand Mahindra was that of a shoe-shiner from Bathinda and his inspirational story to make it big. Sharing the story of the shoe-shiner’s inspirational story which came to light during the festival of lights, Anand Mahindra, challenging viewers to remain dry-eyed tweeted,

Judge Vishal Dadlani taking notice of Anand’s tweet thanked the business mogul also inviting him to be a guest on Indian Idol 11. He wrote, “So glad you noticed Sunny, @anandmahindra sir. Do watch the upcoming episodes. All our singers on #IndianIdol11 have the potential to inspire kids in every corner and every economic level in India. We’d be honoured if you visit our set & chat with the kids, whenever you like!”
As for the diamond-in-the-rough, he has reached another milestone in the popular TV show Indian Idol by making it to the top 15 after leaving the judges and audience stunned with his power packed performance from day one. The aspiring-singer of Bathinda who goes by the stage-name Sunny also won his second ‘golden mike’ on Saturday night with his rendition of legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s ‘Mera piya ghar aya’.
