Winning her maiden Filmfare Award was a major leap for actress Ananya Pandey, nevertheless, the moment made her nervous and just like any other person on stage lost her acceptance speech. The recipient of the Best Debutante Award recently revealed how that crowing moment made her all jittery and whatever she had practiced for years went out of her head.
The actress who at several instances shared how she groomed herself to be an actress since childhood revealed that she has been practising her acceptance speech in front of the mirror with a water bottle for a mic since she was five. In an interview to Mumbai Mirror Ananya said, “I had practised it so many times, but when I went on stage I forgot everything. Winning a Filmfare Black Lady is a big deal for me. My mom (Bhavana Panday) was there with me and how I wished dad (Chunky Panday) was there, too. But I gave the trophy to him when I reached home”. She added that her father told her to keep the award in the living room, “So the family could look at it the whole day”.
Chunky Panday, father to Ananya also in an earlier interview expressed how overjoyed he was to realize his dream of winning the black lady. Chunky revealed that he was nominated for Filmfares four times but never won it, however Ananya bagged the award.
Ananya has a fleet of interesting releases up her sleeves. Apart from s Khaali Peeli alongside Ishaan Khatter the teen sensation has also bagged his first film opposite South Indian movie star Vijay Devrakonda Bollywood film Fighter. The movie was earlier offered to Jahvi Kapoor but she opted out due to date issues. Recently the actress shared pictures of the two bonding over script-reading session with crew of the film.
