Saaransh was the story of an aged couple, BV Pradhan (Anupam Kher) and his wife Parvati (Rohini Hattangadi) who lose their young son in one of those routine and senseless shooting incidents you still hear about in the United States.
He shared two throwback stills from his debut movie and his present-day photo. He captioned the same as, "‪My 1st film #Saaransh was released on the 25th Of May, 1984. Anupam Kher was part of many cult movies like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Ram Lakhan and Vijay among others. He is a recipient of many awards including the National Award and Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards.
Talking about his debut movie, Saaransh was a Mahesh Bhatt directorial and it also starred Rohini Hattangadi, Madan Jain, Nilu Phule, and Soni Razdan among others.Â
The actor has earlier said that eh has no plans to retire. He said, "You have to be excited about your work. The day you carry the burden of 'veteran', 'legend', 'thespian' (it wouldn't work). You're given these titles to signal it's time to retire. But I won't retire from work even in the next 50 years."Â
He added, "Everyday when I go to work, I tell myself I don't know anything about acting. That's the only way. If we take pride in our knowledge, we won't learn something new."
Anupam will soon be in One Day: Justice Delivered which is a crime thriller. He is currently seen in a New York-based medical drama New Amsterdam.Â
