Anushka began writing with how Zero is a beautiful coincidence for her. She reminisced the beginning of her career with Shah Rukh and it’s actually a wonderful coincidence that on her 10th anniversary as an actor, they are releasing their fourth film together. She also mentioned that for the director Aanand L Rai, writer Himanshu Sharma, and co-actor SRK, Zero is a labour of love.

Read the note here:

Shah Rukh, on his part, being the humble star he is said that Anushka makes him a better actor. “My Taani, Akira, Sejal, Aafia & Friend. I am privileged to have worked with u. U make me a better actor. Love u,” wrote the actor.

The journey of the Band Baaja Baarat star has been quite a successful one. From being the Tani in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi to portray the character of Afiya, specially-abled in also Shah Rukh-starrer Zero, Anushka has inspired many young minds and garnered a wide fan base. The actor recently confessed that she considers that the reason behind her successful run is the ‘unconventional’ choices she has made as a performer, producer and an entrepreneur.

Meanwhile, one of the most anticipated movies of the year, Zero, released today. The movie has garnered mix reviews from critics as well as the audiences. While a part of Netizens is flying with the happy colours of enjoyment and love, the other part is furious with the plot. The Aanand L Rai directorial was making rounds since its inception and now the Twitterati cannot stop gushing about it.

The movie review of Zero published in NewsNation says, “We expected the plot to be extraordinary, given the difficulties of a vertically challenged, but it is no different than a regular SRK, just a few inches shorter. It is nothing but a facade, with no ulterior motive. What strikes even more distant is the writing being all over the place. With characters going left and right, the plot seems to be decorated with loose ends. While Bauua can literally strike down a star with his mere finger, the logic falls flat in its own bubble of imaginations.  The dots in the film do not connect and the same goes with the characters.”

The Aanand L Rai directorial is jointly produced by Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions.
