Bollywood actress-producer Anushka Sharma said turning vegetarian was one of the best decisions she has made.
The 30-year-old actor, who turned vegetarian for over three years agao, said she started feeling healthier after switching to a vegetarian diet.
In a new campaign for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, the Pari actor proclaimed “I Am Anushka Sharma, and I’m a Vegetarian.â€
“Going vegetarian was one of the best decisions I ever made. I have more energy, I feel healthier, and I’m so happy that no animals had to suffer for my meals,†Anushka said in a statement.
Anushka said she was content that she had made a little difference in the world by turning vegetarian.

Anushka, who was named PETA India’s Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity in 2015, has joined Lara Dutta, Sonu Sood, Shahid Kapoor, Esha Gupta, R Madhavan, and many other celebrities who have teamed up with PETA India to promote healthy, meat-free meals.
