Arjun Kapoor, who is currently busy with the promotions of his forthcoming film Panipat, is all set to team up with Rakul Preet for the first time in a yet-to-be-titled family dramedy. The film will go on floors this month and will be shot extensively in Punjab and Los Angeles. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the new project.
Sharing a picture of Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh, he wrote, "Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet... The film - not titled yet - is directed by Kaashvie Nair... Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani and John Abraham... Starts this month."

Described as a coming-of-age, cross-border romance, the story has been penned by Anuja Chauhan, Amitosh Nagpal and Nair.Talking about the film, Kapoor said in a statement, "I have grown up in a joint family so I understood that it's the biggest pillar of love, strength and support. That's the essence of our film, which has its heart in the right place. I'm having a blast even during the prep," the actor said in a statement.
It will be helmed by debutante director Kaashvie Nair. She previously assisted Nikkhil Advani on 2013 action thriller D-Day and co-directed TV series POW: Bandi Yuddh Ke. Apart from the yet-to-titled film, Rakul Preet will be next seen in Milap Milan Zaveri's Marjaavaan. The film also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria in pivotal roles.
Arjun is currently gearing up for Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat. He will be seen playing the role of Sadashiv Rao Bhau. The film also stars Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles. Kriti Sanon will portray the role of Parvati Bai, while Sanjay Dutt will play Afghan ruler Ahmad Shah Abdali.
