Actor Arjun Rampal, who last starred in JP Dutta’s Paltan, has landed in legal trouble. A company called YT Entertainment has filed a criminal case against the actor for non-payment of dues. As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the actor has been asked to pay Rs 1 crore with 12 percent interest per annum. The report states that Arjun had taken the loan from the company which was due in 90 days. The company which claims to fund movies had extended the loan to Arjun at a much lower rate than other companies.

During their agreement, the Paltan actor had also given the company a post-dated cheque. However, the cheque bounced and consequently, the entertainment company filed a lawsuit against the actor under the Negotiable Instruments Act.The movie released on 7th September, 2018. The report further states that now YT Entertainment aims at recovering the money by taking a significant part of Arjun Rampal’s payment that he will get from his future movies until their dues are cleared.

Arjun Rampal has been in the news for all other reasons as well. He has been photographed time and again with his alleged girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades after getting separated from his wife Mehr Jesia. Arjun was last seen in JP Dutta’s Paltan which was based on 1967 Nathu La and Cho La clashes along the Sikkim border after the 1962 Sino-Indian War.

The movie also starred Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane, Gurmeet Choudhary, Luv Sinha and others. Talking about the film, Arjun had earlier said, “I think you make the choices you want to be part of and the films that you to do. You want to be associated with certain films. After Paltan, I start on four films. Sometimes you just get a lot of material while there are times when you want to take it easy. My mom was not well and I wanted to be with her and take it easy.”

The movie released on 7th September, 2018.
