He was seen rapping and dancing his heart out at the Emirates Stadium. Ranveer is known to be a big Arsenal fan. Ranveer was there to see a local football match between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. The actor was dressed in a blue and brick red three-piece suit. The football club Arsenal shared a video clip of their celebrity fan and wrote on Twitter: ''@RanveerOfficial is in the house.''
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are reuniting for the first time onscreen after their wedding for 83. The actress is playing Kapil Dev's wife Romi Bhatia in the film, which sees Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev. In a recent interview with Asian Age, Deepika opened on why she chose to portray Romi Bhatia's character on the big screen.
"I play the role of Romi Dev, wife of Kapil Dev in the movie and she was instrumental in Kapil Dev’s success, especially when he was the captain. She was part of the support system and I feel connected to that. I always feel that in an athlete’s life the wife and family sacrifice a lot of their own dreams to support the vision of the athlete, the goals that they set and they end up sacrificing their own career. I have seen it in my own family. My mother had been supportive to my father in his career. I think to see the human side, to see what an important role family play in success of athlete I took up this role," she said.
The film will see a host of other stars playing various other cricketers of that era. Names include Harrdy Sandhu (Madan Lal), Saqib Saleem (Mohinder Amarnath), Tahir Raj Bhasin (Sunil Gavaskar), Ammy Virk (Balwinder Sandhu), Tamil actor Jiiva (Krishnamachari Srikkanth) and Sahil Khattar (Syed Kirmani) among others. Actor Pankaj Tripathi too stars in the film.
