A portion of actor Arshad Warsi’s bungalow at Versova was on Monday demolished by the BMC for alleged construction of an additional floor illegally, according to a report Times of India. The alleged illegality reportedly came under the BMC scanner four years ago.

Only symbolic demolition was carried out as the bungalow was locked when civic officials visited the premises, the report said.

The BMC had on Saturday pasted a demolition on bungalow No 10 in Air India Co-operative Society (Shantiniketan) and had gived 24 hours to the actor to remove illegal construction of second floor measuring around (around 1,300sq ft), it said.

The actor didn’t respond to the legal, following which the partial demolition was carried out by BMC, the report said.

A text message was sent by TOI to the actor after the demolition to which he replied, "It's true", the report said.

"We will send a notice to him again and will remove the illegal floor," Ward officer Prashant Gaikwad was quoted as saying by TOI.
