Recently after a miff between Sonakshi Sinha and Armaan Malik over the debate of actors turning into singers, Ayushmann Khurrana has also shared his piece of verdict on the issue.
The debate rose when Sonakshi was supposely ropped in for Justin Beiber's concert and Kailash Kher had shared his disappointment on choosing actors ahead of the singers for the International concerts.
Meri Pyaari Bindu actor Ayushmann who is both actor and singer says since actors actors are more popular in India, they are often chosen to front concerts and shows instead of singers.

"Our country is culturally very different - only cricketers and actors are mostly in the spotlight. It has been like that since ages. Apart from that, actors are revered more than singers as our films are all about stars lip-syncing and they are voices of the singers," says the actor.
Ayushmann also mentioned about the commercial aspects involved in the superstar concerts due to which organisers intend to boost up sales by involving popular faces.

"The commercial aspect is attached in concerts and sponsors depend on tickets sales and want to bring in stars who the public would want to see. It is based on the popularity level of an artiste in a concert. I think it is culturally tuned like that. I dont know if it is right or wrong."
The actor shall next be seen in Meri Pyaari Bindu alongside Parineeti Chopra, slated to release on May12 and is working in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan with Bhumi Pednekar.
