After the commendable earning of his last release Bareilly Ki Barfi Ayushmann Khurrana came up with his next movie Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. While the trailer had got the audience intrigued, the movie has got a rather slow start at the box office and has made a collection of Rs 2.71 crore on the day of release.
While it was a little disappointing start, it is reported that the opening weekend is expected to bring some growth for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the first day collection of the movie and wrote, "#ShubhMangalSaavdhan Fri ₹ 2.71 cr. India biz... Biz should witness an upward trend on Sat and Sun."

Also starring Bhumi Pednekar in the lead, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan happens to be her second collaboration with Ayushmann. Interestingly, she had made her Bollywood debut with Ayushmann's 2015 release Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
Talking about Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the quirky comedy talks about erectile dysfunction and opened to good reviews from critics and audience.
The movie also faced a box office clash with Ajay Devgn's multi-starrer heist drama Baadshaho which has got a flying start. We wonder if Ayushmann's Shubh Mangal Saavdhan will be able to give a tough competition to Baadshaho in the coming days.
