Even amid COVID-19 and coronavirus scare Tiger Shroff and Sharaddha Kapoor’s Baaghi 3 is off to a great start at theatres. The movie collected something between Rs 17 crore and Rs 18 crore early estimates suggest by Box Office India. The movie has become the best opener actioner of the year superseding Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero that rakes Rs 15 crore on Day 1.
According to the report major business comes from smaller centres like CP Berar, Bihar and Odisha as the bigger cities like Mumbai and Delhi saw considerable drop in footfall. Baaghi 2 made Rs 25 crore on its opening weekend. The numbers are expected to take off on Saturday on Sunday.

The film, which has Tiger travelling to Syria to rescue his brother, also features Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Ankita Lokhande and Jackie Shroff in key roles. After the overwhelming response to the Baaghi 3 trailer, Tiger had thanked fans in an Instagram post. ''Thank you so much everyone for all the love and appreciation for our trailer, truly overwhelming and immense gratitude to you all. Made all the hard work our team went through worth it. Love always,'' he wrote.
