'Baahubali 2', which has been one of the most awaited of the year, has got the record smashing opening on its day of release. The movie is the sequel of SS Rajamouli's 2015 released magnum opus 'Baahubali: The Beginning'. 'Baahubali 2', which came after a wait of around two year to answer the cliff-hanging question of 'Why Kattappa killed Baahubali', has got rave reviews from the critics and the audience has welcomed it whole-heartedly.
Release on 6500 screens across the nation, this SS Rajamouli directorial witness 90 percent occupancy in almost everyshow and even reportedly received a standing ovation as well giving clear hints of 'Baahubali 2' a complete game changer.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it to micro-blogging site to share the box-office report of 'Baahubali 2' or 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' in a series of tweets and shared that as per the estimates the movie has received a much bigger opening that Salman Khan's 'Sultan' and Aamir Khan's 'Dangal'.

According to Taran Adarsh's tweets, 'Baahubali 2' is killing at the box office and will set new standard of records. Interestingly, it has already surpassed the record of Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' in terms of advance booking. Reportedly, online ticket booking portal BookMyShow has claimed to have sold 12 tickets in a second.
"'Baahubali 2' is definitely taking the Indian film industry by surprise. The film, even before its release, has proved that its a blockbuster like no other with an extremely high chance of it entering the INR 100 crore club on day 1 itself," said Ashish Saksena, COO-Cinemas, BookMyShow told IANS.
"We have witnessed unprecedented advance ticket bookings on BookMyShow as fans bought as many as 12 tickets a second. The movie has clearly broken all language barriers and has reaffirmed that the audience loves to watch good content," he added.
If the trade experts are to be believed, 'Baahubali 2' will not just become the highest opener of 2017, but is expected to be the first movie to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club on its day of release. In fact, the movie is likely to emerge as the highest grossing movie of all times and expected to mint Rs 1000 crore.
The analyst further took to twitter announcing the big fat first day collection of the movie.
