'Baahubali 2', which was the much awaited sequel of 2015 release 'Baahubali: The Beginning', is receiving rave reviews and created history at th box office with the first day collections of Rs 121 crore.

Highest advance booking
'Baahubali 2' witnessed a huge rush for advance booking counters and reportedly raked in Rs 40 crores from the advance sales. In fact, it was also reported that an online booking portal stated that they even sold as much as 12 tickets in a second. Interestingly, 'Baahubali 2' has beaten the record of Salman Khan's 'Sultan' and 'Aamir Khan's 'Dangal'.
Highest single day collections
The first day collection of 'Baahubali 2' which turned out to be Rs 121 crore is indeed an admirable amount ever achieved by any movie in Indian cinema. While the first day collections has got the tinselvile talking, 'Baahubali 2' has beaten the records of its first instalment which minted Rs 50 crore on its day of release.
First film to cross Rs 100 crore in a day
With the monstrous collection of Rs 121 crore on its day of release, 'Baahubali 2' created a sensational history of becoming the first movie to enter the prestigious Rs 100 crore club on its day of release itself.

Highest non-holiday opener for Hindi films
Indeed, 'Baahubali 2' has set up a tornado at box office and has managed to take over several box office records, it has become the highest non-holiday opener. Earlier, this record was held by Aamir Khan's 'Dhoom 3' which made a collection of Rs 34 crore on its first day. Beating this record, the hindi version of 'Baahubali 2' has earned Rs 41 crore.
Highest opening for any dubbed film
It is believed that south Indian movies which are dubbed in Hindi often fail to leave an impact on box office. But this was not the case with 'Baahubali 2', whose mas following made it create a history.
