Vidya Balan's recent release'Begum Jaan' has got a moderate response from the audience on its day of release.Vidya Balan playing the character firmly, who perhaps is perfection as Begum.Â
Director Srijit Mukherji, who originally made the movie in Bengali named 'Rajkahini' starring Rituparna Sengupta, has managed to recreate the scene for the Hindi audiences as well and has been the 'Captain of the Ship' truely.
Movie has dealt with a lot of drama and thrill. Some scenes might take you up to the notch and then drop you down when you least expect.
Despite the shortcomings, Begum Jaan, indeed gains one-time watch for the audiences, with a hard-hitting narrative and magnificent performances.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it micro-blogging site Twitter to share the box office report of the movie.Â

The story revolves around the demolishing of brothel stood on the India-Pakistan border and hence showcases the events around the partition era. Well, according to the reports this has lead to the ban of the movie in Pakistan.
The movie shall not be released in Pakistan as the story necessarily involves a lot of harsh truths about the time.
'Begum Jaan', also starring Naseeruddin Shah, Gauahar Khan and Pallavi Sharda, hits the screens on April 14.
