Bharat also became Salman's first movie to be released in Saudi Arabia.Â
With this, Bharat may well have become the second-highest Hindi opener of all time only behind the original Hindi version of Thugs of Hindostan (Rs 50.75 crore). In fact, the tentative figure is higher than the opening-day number of the Hindi version of Baahubali 2 (Rs 41 crore).
It is worth mentioning that even after getting mixed reviews, and getting released on the day of India's first World Cup 2019 match, the movie lived up to box office expectations and raked such phenomenal numbers.Â
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film also stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover in prominent roles.
