Salman Khan and his passion for cycling has never been a hidden fact. The actor, who is also Arunachal Pradesh’s Tourism Ambassador, cycled through the picturesque hills while promoting the Mechuka Adventure Festival, which kick-started on Thursday. The Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju himself welcomed the Bharat actor, who was currently shooting in Punjab for the film and arrived at Dibrugarh airport by a chartered flight to attend the festival.

The minister took to his official Twitter handle to share pictures of the actor promoting the festival. He wrote, “People of Arunachal Pradesh will be forever indebted to Salman Khan for promoting the State as a destination for adventure tourism. People showered him all the love and affection at Menchuka today.” Rijiju also praised the Bodyguard star for promoting the State as a destination for adventure tourism.
In the pictures, Salman is spotted donning Arunachal’s traditional Monpa jacket. The Bollywood’s Bhai even promised in his speech, to shoot for his upcoming film in the state in order to give a big boost to film tourism and also flaunted Arunachal’s beauty.

The Wanted actor, displaying his love for cycling, took part alongside Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Rijiju in a 10km bicycle ride. The ride culminated at the festival ground, where they were greeted with a warm welcome.

Pema Khandu, sharing pictures with Salman, tweeted, “It was an exhilarating experience to be part of 10km bicycle ride with Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan and MoS Home @KirenRijiju at Mechuka today. Thanks with all my heart to @BeingSalmanKhan for his presence at Mechuka Adventure Festival. It means a lot. @incredibleindia

“Arunachal is hot destination for adventure tourists. Power up your passion for adventure in Arunachal. Visuals of bike ride with @BeingSalmanKhan and @KirenRijiju today at Mechuka. @incredibleindia @ArunachalTsm @tourismgoi @ArunachalDIPR,” added the Chief Minister.

On the work front, Salman is busy shooting for his upcoming flick Bharat, co-starring Katrina Kaif. The actor is sporting five different looks spanning over a time period of 60 years. Bharat is based on the 2014 South Korean drama Ode to My Father. The Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial also features Nora Fatehi, Tabu and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles with Varun Dhawan in a cameo. It is slated for release next year.
