Sanjay Dutt, who has been missing from the silver screen for a while now, is all set to make his comeback with Omung Kumar's upcoming directorial Bhoomi. The movie happens to be a revenge drama and has been the grabbing the headlines since the time it was announced.
While everyone is having high hopes from Bhoomi, Dutt has revealed that he chose to do the movie because of a special reason.
During his recent interview with Indian Express, the Khalnayak actor asserted that it was the script and his character that made him sign Bhoomi.
"I chose this character because I was really impressed with the way it was written, and I still choose my films on the basis of how the script is, and Bhoomi was a combination of the two," Sanjay was quoted as saying.
On being quizzed about working with Omung Kumar, Dutt was all praises for the director and said, "Omung is a great director to work with. He is immensely focused and knows how to bring out the best from his cast. He takes you through the shoot smoothly".
Apart from Dutt, Bhoomi also stars Aditi Rao Hydari as Sanjay's daughter. This is the first time Aditi will be sharing the screen space with Dutt and she can't stop gushing about it.
"I remember when I had first met Sanjay Sir and he made me so comfortable. He told me that he hasn't even faced the camera for 3 years and I have just done a Mani Ratnam's film and then came his hug which made me feel so good," Aditi said in one of her interview.
Also featuring Sharad Kelkar as the antagonist, Bhoomi is set to release on September 22 and will witness a box office clash with Shraddha Kapoor's Haseena Parkar and Rajkummar Rao's Newton.
