A lawyer on Saturday lodged a police complaint against Bigg Boss Tamil show including host Kamal Haasan and producers after contestant Oviya's suicide attempt.
In his police complaint, advocate SS Balaji alleged that Oviya had suffered depression due to engagement rules and tough tasks. Besides this, Balaji has also demanded an investigation against the host, producers and the channel 'Vijay TV' for making a contestant suffer so much just to increase show's TRPs and viewership.
"On 04.08.2017 at 9:00pm, the TV show 'BIGG BOSS', was telecasted on VIJAY TV. The show claimed that it was complete recording of the activities of a group of people made to live under a closed compound and they can only leave the compound with the permission of the show producers," the lawyer said in the complaint.

"The content telecast on the above date had visuals of attempt to suicide by one of the show participant Miss. Oviya (a) Helen, by immersing herself into the water pool at the closed compound," he further mentioned in the complaint.
Oviya, the contestant who has been in news for a quite long time quit the show after spending 41 days in the Bigg Boss Tamil house. She has remained in the news for her boldness, attitude and honesty. But these qualities were the cause of her problems in the house. She was constantly on the target of other housemates.
She jumped into the swimming pool and demanded her exit from the show in Friday's episode. Besides this, she also claimed that she was under a lot of pressure, which was the cause of her mental stress. She even asked for some professional help.
