Bollywood’s global star Irrfan Khan, who is suffering from Neuroendocrine tumour has is ruling both and Indian and Chinese box-office.
The latest release of Irrfan ‘Blackmail’ hit theatres on April 6 across 1860 screens in India. The movie has earned Rs 11.42 crore in the first weekend. The movie picked up well on Sunday after a slow start on Friday.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took his Twitter handle to share the box-office collection of the flick and wrote, “#Blackmail puts up DECENT NUMBERS in its opening weekend... The BO performance is similar to #HindiMedium <₹ 12.56 cr>, although that film had a lower screen count… Weekdays are crucial... Fri 2.81 cr, Sat 3.85 cr, Sun 4.56 cr. Total: ₹ 11.22 cr. India biz’’.

One of his last year’s flick ‘Hindi Medium’ was released in China in this week and is running successfully at the Chinese box-office. The movie has bagged Rs 138 crore in just four days of its release.
Helmed by Abhinav Deo, ‘Blackmail’ has been made with a small budget of just Rs 14 crore. The movie also features Kirti Kulhari, Ranjit Arora, Omi Vaidya and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.
‘Blackmail’ is a dark-comedy flick in which a middle-aged married man who is stuck in a full day-time job and finds out that his wife is having an extramarital affair.
The movie also revived Guru Randhawa’s popular number ‘Patola’. On the other hand, ‘Happy Happy’ song is also rocking the charts.
