Producers of Woodpecker Movies in March announced bringing in pairing of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mouni Roy in their next venture Bole Chudiyan, directed by Shamas Siddiqui.
The first-look posters of Bole Chudiyan are now out and they present the lead actors in to separate posters. From the posters it is evident that Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mouni Roy to potray old-school kind of a romance in the movie
Nawazuddin can be seen ruminating while standing against a wall in a pullover and trousers in his monochrome poster. Mouni can be seen flaunting peeking from the back of a door dressed in traditional attire flaunting silver jhumkas.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and said, "Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mouni Roy in #BoleChudiyan... Marks the directorial debut of Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, brother of Nawazuddin Siddiqui... Produced by Rajesh Bhatia and Kiran Bhatia... Starts June 2019."Â

Bole Chudiyan is being helmed by Nawazuddin's brother Shamas Nawab Siddiqui. He has earlier directed several ad films and who co-produced Nawazuddin's Manto.
“I am happy that Nawaz bhai has given his nod to my script. I have worked for more than a year on it. As everyone knows, he is very choosy with his scripts and wouldn’t do a film just because I am his brother. Bole Chudiyan is a romantic drama set in our home-town of Budhana in Uttar Pradesh," Shamas had told New Indian Express in February this year.
Talking about working with Mouni Roy, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, ''Mouni Roy is still an unearthed talent and she believes in experimenting with her acting and I feel she is the perfect choice for the kind of character which is designed for her and we hope to do some wonders on the screen. I am really excited to work on this project, it’s something new.''
Mouni Roy would next be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in Mikhil Musale's Made In China and then in Brahmastra, which would see Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles.Â
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, on the other hand, would next be seen in debutante director Honey Trehan's Raat Akeli Hai alongside Radhika Apte and Shweta Tripathi and then in Motichoor Chaknachoor opposite Athiya Shetty.
