1. Batla House vs Mission Mangal: Batla House starring John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur released at the box office this Independence day. Mission Mangal, one of the most anticipated films of the year, also released on the same day. Mission Mangal stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen in pivotal roles. While Mission Mangal has raked in Rs 70.02 crore in three days, Batla House minted Rs 35.29 crore.

2. Sridevi’s birth anniversary: Late Sridevi's 56th birth anniversary left fans with a heavy heart. The Kapoors marked the day by sharing posts on their respective social media accounts. On her birth anniversary, Madame Tussauds Singapore also announced that the late actress's wax figure will be unveiled in September.

3. Dream Girl trailer: Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl trailer recently hit the internet and received a lot of adulation from the audience as well as other celebs. The film also stars Anu Kapoor and Nushrat Bharucha in significant roles. In the movie, Ayushmann will be seen playing a living female mythological characters such as Sita and Radha in stage acts. Later, he turns into a female telecaller who flirt with male customers in seductive voice.

4. Lisa Haydon announces pregnancy: Model-actor Lisa Haydon on Saturday announced that she and her husband Dino Lalvani are expecting their second child together. The couple are already parents to son Zack, who was born on May 17, 2017. Lisa took to Instagram to share the news. "Party of four on the way," she captioned a picture of her flaunting the baby bump while standing alongside her husband and son Zack in the sea.

5. Sacred Games Season 2: Sacred Games 2 starring Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles aired on 15th August, 2019.
