Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh amidst all the negative reviews is all set to become is highest grosser film of 2019. The movie is going storg even in its third week when Mumbai has been hit by heavy rain and water loggimg situation.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film, which bagged Rs 134.42 crore in the first week of its release, is just Rs 2 crore short of joining the Rs 200 crore club and has already beaten Bharat's record collection in 12 days.
Kabir Singh made Rs 9.07 crore on Monday, July 1, making a total of 190.64 crore. The film is expected to cross Rs 200 crore by today. Business however was affected by Mumbai incessant rains and water logging at several areas.
This will be the first 'A' certified (Adult) Bollywood cinema to cross Rs 200 mark, according to trade analyst and movie critic Taran Adarsh.
Besides Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, Kabir Singh also stars Arjan Bajwa, Suresh Oberoi, Kamini Kaushal, Adil Hussain, Nikita Dutta and Soham Majum among others. The film is a Hindi remake of the 2017 Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalin Pandey in the lead roles.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khuranna starrer Article 15 too did stead business till Day 5. the film grossed. Anubhav Sinha's movie has grossed Rs 27.68 crore already.
