Sonam Kapoor and Dalquer Salman’s The Zoya Factor opened to low numbers at the box office on Friday. The release of the film clashed with Karan Deol’s debut film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and Sanjay Dutt’s Prassthanam. In a surprising turn of events, Karan’s film has beat the other two established stars at the box office game.
According to a report in Boxofficeindia, both The Zoya Factor and Prassthanam collected around Rs 85 lakhs each on the day of their release. Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas fared slightly better with an opening collection of Rs 1.10 crore.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is a love story directed by Sunny Deol, while Prassthanam is Sanjay’s action thriller which marks his wife Maanayata’s debut in production. The Zoya Factor revolves around Sonam’s titular character Zoya, who somehow becomes the lucky mascot for the Indian cricket team.

On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer 'Dream Girl’ is having a dream run at the box office. The film has raked in Rs 72.20 crore in just a week of its release.
In the film, Ayushmann essays the role of a young man who has a credible talent of imitating female voice and plays female characters in Ramleela. He gets a job in an adult hotline, but things go haywire when customers, both men and women, fall for his alter ego 'Pooja' and start searching for the face behind the sultry voice. Meanwhile, Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore also continues to do well and has collected Rs 109.30 crore in two weeks.
