Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has been arrested by Delhi Police for failing to repay a loan of Rs 5 crore which the actor with his wife Radha had taken in 2010 to make his directorial debut in Bollywood with ‘Ata Pata Laapata’. Rajpal is sentenced to a 3-month civil jail and immediately taken into custody.
In 2013, Yadav was sent to 10 days judicial custody for hiding facts about the case. The court also attached assets owned by the couple and his company. The court also issued a contempt of court notice against two lawyers who represented the couple.
Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has been convicted in Delhi’s Karkardooma court for failing to clear dues. His wife and a company were also convicted after a recovery suit was filed for failing to pay dues amounting to Rs 5 crore. The loan was taken in 2010 for the directorial debut of the actor.
Earlier in 2015, Yadav claimed that he had cleared dues amounting to Rs 1.58 crore and Rs 3.42 crore were left to be cleared.
Rajpal Yadav is known for his excellent comic timing and his roles in films like Bhoolbhulaiya, Chup Chup Ke and Partner.
