Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan will be officially be replaced by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh for the sequel of Bunty and Babli. Yash raj Films made the announcement sharing the first look of the two and calling them the new age Bunty aur Bali’
Siddhant Chaturvedi, made his name as MC Sher in Gully Boy and was later seen dubbing for the Hindi version of Men In Black. The production house one the other hand is launching a fresh face Sharvari Bagh with Mc Sher. In the first look both are seen donning denims and white tees.
Bunty Aur Babli, was woven around two small-town misfits Rakesh Trivedi (Abhishek) and Vimmi Saluja (Rani) who dream of becoming rich and famous and and to reach their aim turn to a life of fraud and become famous con artists. The movie also featured megastar Amitabh Bachchan in a lead role.

Earlier it was reported Rani and Saif Ali Khan will have a special appearance in the film, while Pankaj Tripathi will get into Amitabh Bachchan’s shoes as the cop.
The new film will be directed and written by Varun Sharma. Talking about the film he said, "Bunty Aur Babli 2 is completely set in today’s time. Siddhant caught everyone’s eye with his brilliant acting debut in Gully Boy and became the heartthrob of the nation. We are very excited to have him play the role of Bunty. He is a superb actor, is extremely charming and he fits the role perfectly."
He added, "Sharvari is an extremely special actress to watch out for. She is a powerful performer and you have to watch her on-screen to understand what we mean. Given the film and the roles, they are definitely the perfect casting. They are a fresh, hot pair and their chemistry and energy is infectious."
It will be interesting to see the newbies step into the shoes of this thug couple. Naturally, there will be tremendous pressure of expectations on them if they are given a chance to be the next 'Bunty' and 'Babli'. The actor already enjoys a huge female following and currently on an experimental spree.
