Pahlaj Nihalani, chairman of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), who has been the reason of several controversies may be replaced, according to government sources.
On July 28, a meeting of CBFC members has been called by Nihalani in Thiruvananthapuram. Ministry of information and broadcasting sources said indication has been made to Nihalani that he might be replaced.
However, Prakash Jha and TV producer-actor Chandraprakash Dwivedi are among the names who can replace him.
According to Times of India report, both are seen to enjoy a comfort level with the government. Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who has recently been in the news for making a film on Indira Gandhi titled 'Indu Sarkar', is also being spoken of.
