Tendulkar vs Dhoni: Clash of cricket titans on Box Office this time

No, they are not the Bollywood stars, but yes they are ready to rock the silver screen. 2016 is set to witness a clash of the cricketing titans on Box Office. They are two of the most successful players Indian cricket has ever produced - cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Millions of cricket fans love Dhoni and Tendulkar like God in India. The cricket fans remember Tendulkar for his brilliant all-round performances throughout his career, and also cheer for MS Dhoni for his magical captaincy skills on field.

Tendulkar, arguably the greatest batsman in world, was the game’s highest-paid player before Dhoni’s rise to fame. In 2013, Tendulkar decided to take voluntary retirement from the game breaking hearts of his fans.

Dhoni and Tendulkar have played together against all cricket playing nations for many years, and both of them are now ready to compete with each other on Box Office. Movies based on the life of these two cricket legends are set to be realsed on Big screen this year. 

The teaser of Tendulkar’s upcoming biopic 'Sachin - A Billion Dreams' was released on April 14 this year. Sachin's biopic on YouTube has already 4,946,584 views in last four months. 

His biography ‘Playing It My Way’ became a big hit soon after it was launched. Now, the 'God of Indian Cricket' is all set to woo his fans by starring in his biopic. The movie captures Sachin’s cricket and personal life with Tendulkar himself starring in the movie. 

The release date of movie on Sachin Tendulkar hasn’t been decided yet.

MS Dhoni - The Untold Story 

The biopic based on Dhoni's life is set to hit the big screen on September 30 this year. Dhoni says he wanted his movie not to be glamorous and heroic. The teaser of this movie was released on March 15, 2016 during India vs Pakistan at ICC World Twenty20.

“I did not want them (makers) to make me a hero or glamorise me, but rather show the journey, the struggle. I have played football, had been in Railways before I started playing cricket. I wanted them to show what pushed me, the journey, how I did and what happened is what I wanted to be the focus point,” Dhoni told reporters at the trailer launch of ‘M S Dhoni: The Untold Story’.
