Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar who is having the time of her life since she won the coveted beauty pageant will make her much awaited Bollywood debut with Bollywood one of the most commercially successful actor Akshay Kumar with a period drama.
While there were earlier reports about Manushi being on board for Khiladi Kumar's historical drama, Prithviraj, the film's director recently confirmed the news that the medical grad turned actress will be introduced with this period drama.
In his recent chat with Bombay Times, director Chandraprakash Dwivedi revealed, "We were looking to find someone who could match the magnetic persona of Sanyogita and we found that in Manushi. She auditioned for the role a couple of times because we wanted to be dead sure with this casting and she nailed it each time. She has been rehearsing six days a week since then and she is being thoroughly groomed for the last 9 months by YRF."
Manushi's claim to fame came when she won the Miss India beauty pagent and then went on to win Miss World title in 2017 after a hiatus of 17 years. She soon become a darling of the silver screen and was seen in TV commercials sharing screen space with A-listers like Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor for a fashion and lifestyle e-commerce portal and jewellry brand respectively.
The diva, however, has stayed tight lipped about her Bollywood ambition but expressed choice of working in thriller movies with Aamir and Shah Rukh.
Manushi has already started prepping up for the role of Sanyogita, one of the three wives of Prithviraj Chauhan in his biopic movie. She will be essaying Sanyukta's role and will be romantically paired opposite Akshay. Aditya Chopra feels she has a good screen presence and has also got her on board as one of the talents under his banner."

Interestingly, the leggy lass was also offered the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit RX100 opposite Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan, which is the latter’s launch pad. However, Manushi opted out to make her debut with Akshay. The announcement of Prithviraj Chaupahan, the movie was done in September on Akshay Kumar’s Birthday. The movie will release in Diwali 2020.
