Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha who were all set to tie the knot in April has pushed their wedding to October this year owing the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country. The actors- due recently got engaged in a private affair and the news broke the internet after Richa was seen flaunting a diamond student ring.
As per the same report, the two have rescheduled their wedding to the latter months of 2020 considering the health and well-being of their family, friends and colleagues as mass –gathering of any sorts is dangerous according to government or WHO recommendations. Also, since Ali Fazal’s extended family stays in Canada and cannot travel to Indian owing to to travel restrictions, they decided to put their wedding on hold. Moreover, the industry friends of the couple from UK and US will be facing the same issue. Nevertheless, the outfits, venues,
teams, etc. will remain the same apart, only the wedding will now take place in October.
In a statement issued by their official spokesperson in February, the duo shared their wedding plans.
"Currently, only the date for the registration has been taken. By process, the window that is valid is for three months from the date that has been allotted.
"The couple are working towards an official registration in the last week of April post which the celebrations will follow. All we can say at the moment is that it's a happy occasion and all the parties involved are elated," the statement read.
Richa and Ali, who first worked together in 2013's "Fukrey", made their relationship official in 2016. Ali proposed Richa during their Maldives holiday.
