Coronavirus outbreak has already resulted in cancelling of several international and national events from the release of No Time To Die to the IIFA 2020. As Bollywood filmmakers and production houses are taking preventive measures to keep their cast and crew away from the deadly COVID-19 disease, Karan Johar has kept the first leg shoot of Takht on hold. Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj shoot has also been rescheduled and the venue changed after India reported a spike in the cases of coronavirus positive patients.
Karan Johar’s magnum opus with a assembly of stars as its cast, Takht was scheduled to be filmed in Rajasthan cities, Jaipur and Jaisalmer. However, the shoot has been stalled. Reports also claimed Akshay cancelled his Rajasthan shoot schedule for Prithviraj and headed to Mumbai. Prithviraj marks the Bollywood debut of Miss World 2017, Manushi Chillar.
As for Takht, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar are scheduled to join in Karan Johar return to director’s chair. Earlier today, Anil Kapoor shared a video of himself prepping for the film. He captioned the video as, "Takht Prep Mode on! #alwaysupforarun @karanjohar."
