Dabangg 3’s box office performances has been affected by the ongoing CAA protests. The much-loved franchise had witnessed a lower box office collection on its first two days than expectations. On Friday, the film minted Rs 24.50 crore and on Saturday it earned Rs 24.75 crore.
Apart from Salman Khan, the film also stars Sonakshi Sinha, newcomer Saiee Manjrekar, Kannada film star Sudeep and late Vinod Khanna’s brother, Pramod.
Dabangg 3 is the third film in the hit Dabangg franchise, which narrates the story of an intrepid cop who refuses to play by the rule book.
As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, the makers removed around 9 minutes of the film from the second day of its release, that is, from Saturday December 21. All theatres were instructed to play the revised version with immediate effect. The song Awara, featuring Salman Khan and Saiee M Manjrekar was edited out of the film.
Also their other song ‘Naina Lade’ was slightly trimmed. Moreover, a few comedy scenes didn’t elicit the desired laughs were chucked out from the revised version.
