Salman Khan much hyped cop-drama Dabangg 3 released at theatres on Friday. Inspite of the nationwide protests, the movie opened to lukewarm response. The numbers are set to grow as the holiday season ushers. And while the Dabangg 3 team is overwhelmed with the response, Salman has another reason to double the celebration.
According to the recent reports, WWE has noticed Salman’s belt act that went viral since the first film of the franchise and has honoured the superstar with a special gift, a customized WWE Championship belt by WWE to celebrate the release of the film. Interestingly, this customized belt was fitted with side plated and had Salman’s name emblazoned in gold on it. The news reportedly was revealed by WWE Now India host Gaelyn Mendonca during the show.
The film minted Rs. 24.5 crore on opening day. However, the film’s first day collection is lesser than Bharat, which had a mega opening at Rs 42 crore. Sharing the number on Twitter, Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, ''#Dabangg3 Fri Rs 24.5 cr. #India biz. Note: ALL VERSIONS.’’
In the film, Salman is seen romancing Saiee Manjrekar, his first love interest. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha playing Rajjo, Chulbul's wife, in the lead role.
Meanwhile, the makers have "voluntarily" removed certain scenes from the film's title track "Hud Hud Dabangg". The film had attracted controversy after a Hindu outfit objected to a sequence in the title song that shows saffron-clad sadhus dancing with guitars. Taking to Twitter, the official handle of Salman Khan Films posted, "Keeping everyone's sentiments in mind, we have voluntarily edited certain scenes from the song 'Hud Hud Dabangg'."
