Deepika REACTS to speculations of her working with #MeToo accused director

Deepika Padukone recently courted controversy when she was snapped outside #MeToo accused Luv Ranjan's office and rumours were abuzz that she has given her nod to the filmmaker's upcoming movie with Ranbir Kapoor.

Recently, during an interview with Vogue, Deepika was asked if she would work with someone who has been accused of sexual harassment. To which, the actress replied in negative saying, "No! I would not." 

Deepika's answer comes as a breather for her fans who had been wanting her to react to speculations of collaborating with the Pyar ka Punchnama director.

For the uninitiated, the Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani actress was recently seen by the papparazzi at Luv Ranjan's office alongside Ranbir Kapoor. While some rejoiced the fact that their favourite onscreen couple from Yeh Jawani hai Deewani or Tamaasha are coming back, some questioned her decision of giving a nod to a project that will be helmed by a person who has allegations of sexual miscondut against his name. Soon #NotMyDeepika became a trend and fans took turn to protest her choices. Some however asked why is she being targeted and not Ranbir Kpaoor and Ajay Devgn who too have projects up there sleeve.S ome of them also went on to highlight how she will be losing thousands of fans if she says yes to the film.

When the #MeToo campaign started by Tanushree Dutta was at its peak,  an actress alleged that director Luv Ranjan had asked her to strip when she went to audition for a movie in 2010. Later, the director issued an apology.
