Deepika Padukone, who made heads turn at the MET Gala on Monday, tripped on her dress while she was sipping wine in a hotel lobby. A video is being shared online which shows her walking around in a hotel lobby as few people help her with her dress’ train as she almost trips. However, she regains control and prevents herself from falling down.Â
Deepika looked absoutely gorgeous in a Camp Barbie look,in sync with this year’s theme at MET gala, Camp: Notes on Fashion. She completed her look with voluminous big hair, dramatic burgundy lips and purple eye make-up. She accessorised her look with a pair of diamond earrings and a statement cuff. Vogue India had also shared a video showcasing Deepika’s dress trial with a caption that read, '''It’s not a dress, it’s like art,'' @deepikapadukone noted of the many-layered confection on Sunday at @zacposen’s studio, just 24 hours before the #MetGala—and the first time she saw the dress in real life.''
Deepika Padukone first appeared at the Met Ball in 2017 during the release of her first Hollywood flick, XXX: Return of Xander Cage, opposite Vin Diesel. Dressed in a slip-dress by Tommy Hilfiger along with a flower crown, Deepika set the graph right for the theme of the year which was Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-Between dedicated to the Japanese designer, Kawakubo, with her sartorial choice.Deepika Padukone's next red carpet appearance will be in Cannes in later this month.
