Deepika Padukone received much appreciation for her Chappak look already. Stepping in the shoes of an acid attack victim is not easy but the 'Padmaavat actress' looked absolutely convincingly in her new avatar.Â
As the shoot for the movie directed by Meghna Gulzar commenced, fans started sharing snippets of the actress shooting for the film on the steets of Delhi in Mumbai.
After a glimpse of Deepika as Laxmi taking bike and auto ride with co-actor Vikrant Massey went viral, a new video of hers has now surfaced on the internet which sees her donning a school uniform.Â
Deepika is seen sporting a school uniform and chatting with a friend whilst eating roadside junk that looks like Laxmi's early life before the tragedy struck her. Deepika looks young and joyfull as a school girl and not defaced as she was in the rest of viral videos.

With this movie, Deepika will turn to be a producer for the first time.Â
Meanwhile, while speaking about Chhapaak, Laxmi during a recent event said, "The movie is a slap on everyone's face who thought they could ruin my life post the attack". Deepika too opened up about Chhapaak during an interview with us and said that she is really looking forward to it. "It's an important story to be told. Period. I don't think it has anything to do with male or female, it's about the human spirit. It's about bravery and triumph. Hopefully, we'll be able to bring about a social change," she said.Â
