Deepika Padukone and Anisha Padukone have always managed to give us some major sister goals. The special bond that these two share is evident from their Instagram posts for each other. As Anisha turned a year old today, Deepika Padukone again took to Instagram to wish her sister.
She shared a picture with Anisha in which the sisters are seen relishing fries. "Happy Happy Birthday my partner in French fry! Actually...YOU are a French fry! Okay Bye!!! (sic),'' Deepika captioned the post.
In the picture, Deepika is seen eating French fries, while Anisha is holding a plate. While Deepika looks stunning in a black bodycon dress, Anisha is wearing a light brown-colored jumpsuit.
Meanwhile, a video of Deepika Padukone prepping up Anisha Padukone's birthday cake is crazy viral on the Internet. The Padukone sisters can be seen twinning in white.
The 34-year-old actress also often engages in social media banter with her sister. Anisha recently featured in Deepika's "snuggles and cuddles" photo, also featuring husband Ranveer Singh.
On the work front, Deepika's latest outing, Chhapaak has received a positive response from the audiences. While the numbers haven't been very huge and as big as expected, people are loving the film for the issue it stands for. The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. The film has been directed by Meghna Gulzar and also stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role.
She will next feature in the Indian adaptation of Robert De Niro-Anne Hathaway starrer 2015 Hollywood film The Intern. The film will also star Rishi Kapoor. Talking about it, Deepika said, "'The Intern' is an intimate, relationship-driven film, set in and around the workplace; a story that I believe is very relevant to the present-day social and cultural environment. I have been looking for a light, breezy comedy-drama and this story fits in seamlessly. I cannot wait to begin this journey."
The makers are planning to release the film in 2021. Deepika will be also seen in 83 opposite Ranveer Singh. The actress is playing Kapil Dev's wife Romi Bhatia in the film, which sees Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev.
