Akshay Kumar has just released his first look for ‘Sooryavanshi’ in Rohit Shetty’s cop-universe. Joining forces with other Shetty’s earlier cops such as Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and Ajay Devgn’s Singham, Akshay’s look as cop Veer Sooryavanshi shows him in a ferocious khaki uniform with a stern gladiator sunglass as Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn goes ditto. Calling the trio ‘desi avengers’, Akshay shared the look writing, ‘’The desi Avengers of the Cop universe! When ‘Singham’ meets ‘Simmba’ meets #Sooryavanshi,expect not just fireworks but a full-blown blast on 27th March,2020.”

Also joining the cop universe will also be Katrina Kaif who previously was seen in movies such as Namastey London, Singh Is Kinng, Welcome and Tees Maar Khan. Introducing her former Singh, Katrina shared a photograph of a name tag with Veer Sooryavanshi written on it on a police uniform. She captioned the image: “Now Shooting #sooryavanshi #onset @itsrohitshetty @akshaykumar @karanjohar.”

Speaking about Akshay, Katrina had called him one of the most hard-working actors she had worked with. She had said: “Akshay is one of the most hardworking actors I know. In fact I learnt so much from him -- the dedication, the punctuality. It also helps that he has a great sense of humour.”
The film is slated to hit the theatres in March 2020.
