Disha Patani opens up about dealing with the industry (Photo: Twitter)
Being the limelight means having to face all types of responses and Disha Patani has a Shah Rukh Khan example of dealing with the cut-throat industry. The 'Baaghi 2' actor who is always in the limelight either for her sartorial choices or her staunch workout session opened up about getting accepted in the industry while sitting down with a daily. Citing that much like Shah Rukh Khan who came from nowhere the actor said;
"People have been kind and accepting of me. If people don’t like you, it has got nothing to do with you not being a star kid. If you are talented and hardworking, people accept you. It doesn’t matter where you are from. Shah Rukh Khan was a nobody when he came to this business and look at him today."
The 27-year-old who also made her Bollywood debut with 2016 'M. S. Dhoni' further adding to how uncomfortable she feels watching herself on the big screen added, "Once I finish a film, I completely disconnect from it. I don’t like to watch myself on screen. It makes me feel very awkward so once I’ve shot it, it’s done."
On the work front Disha, who was last seen alongside Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in 'Bharat' will next be seen in 'Malang’ alongside Aditya Roy Kapur. The Mohit Suri movie will also see other stars like Anil Kapoor, and Kunal Kemmu. Malang is slated for a 14 February 2020 release.
