Dubai bakery makes Dangal cake to celebrate Independence Day of India

After shattering a series of box office records through out the world, Aamir Khan-starrer 'Dangal' is under spotlight yet another time. Latest media report suggests that a Dubai bakery has made 54kg Dangal cake to celebrate upcoming Independence Day of India.

The unique piece of cake is "world’s most expensive edible cake," the Broadway Bakery claims. The cake artist gave his best and took one long month to finish the making of this $40,000 (about Rs 25 lakh) cake. The expensive delight can comfortably serve 240 guests.

In the 54Kg 'edible artwork' a towering figure of Aamir Khan has been seen as Mahavir Phogat along with a scene from his super-hit flick 'Dangal'.The artist captures the scene where Mahavir Phogat's daughters Geeta and Babita have been seen practicing wrestling in a makeshift Akhada.

"The client wanted gold to be generously incorporated into the cake and we fulfilled the request by coating each medal with 75gm of edible gold," Broadway Bakery took to social networking site Facebook to release the official statement on Wednesday.

"The cake is 100% edible and made entirely using sugar fondant, the signature chocolate sponge, ganache, Belgian chocolate, demerara sugar and edible gold. The Signature Chocolate Cake is one of the best tasting gourmet cakes in town," the bakery company was quoted while interacting with reporters.

According to Forbes Magazine’s latest report, the Zaira Wasim-starrer has become the first Indian movie in the history to earn Rs 2000 crore (307 million USD) all over the world.

On the work front, Aamir Khan is at present busy shooting his forthcoming venture, 'Secret Superstar'. Also starring Zaira Wasim and Meher Vij in key roles, the movie is scheduled to release on October 19, 2017.
