When talking of quality films, rising stars like Rajkumar Rao, Uri star Vicky Kushal lead the front line. Hence, it doesn’t come much a surprise that their pick of movie choices will have to stray from the stagnant ‘dancing in the green fields’ Bollywood mainstream movies. And his movies like Queen, Stree, Omerta, Newton, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Trapped, Aligarh and now Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga have proven time and again that Rao seeks the path of ‘content-driven’ movies.

With cinema goers very much still inclined to masala ridden movies like Ranveer Singh’s Simmba which emerged a box office champion even crossing 200 crores and beyond, we wonder if this versatile actor is open for movies of that kind.  Sitting down with Times Now, when the Stree actor was asked if in the near future he is open to doing masala driven movies like Salman Khan's Dabangg, Simmba etc, the actor had this to say, “You know the definition of masala-entertainer is also changing now. Ya, I would love to be a part of such films which has a story. I am very open to it. I am open to all kinds of stories,” adding, “I want to do a film which are you know, larger than life but the story has to be there...You can't compromise the story...it can't be just dancing around the trees and anything else.”
