Comedian Kapil Sharma’s second film ‘Firangi’ faced a dip at the box-office on Monday. Directed by Rajiev Dhingra, Firangi is based on pre-independence era and the story revolves around a boy who lands up with a job with British govt.
After facing slow weekend, ‘Firangi’ still drops on the fourth day and churned just around Rs 1 crore.
Trade analyst Girash Johar took his Twitter handle to share the box-office collection of ‘Firangi’ and wrote, ‘’Monday BO estimates aprox rs #Firangi 0.90 #Tera Intezaar 0.20’’.
Here’s day-wise box-office collection of Firangi:
Dec 1 – Friday – Rs 1.8 crore
Dec 2 – Saturday – Rs 2 crore
Dec 3 – Sunday – Rs 2.5 crore
Dec 4 – Monday – Rs 1 crore
As per trade sources, ‘Firangi’ is made with a budget of Rs 25 crore which includes prints and advertising.
Even, Kapil’s first film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ performed very well at the box-office and bagged Rs. 62 crore in India.
Released on December 1, ‘Firangi’ also stars Ishita Dutta, Monica Gill in key roles.Â
