This time Aamir has come up with a wrestling drama 'Dangal', which is based on the struggle of renowned wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who went beyond the societal norms to make his daughters - Geeta and Babita- successful wrestlers.
The movie has been a rage in the audience since it was announced. Also, it will be for the first time that Aamir will be seen playing such a role on the silver screen.

Superstar Aamir Khan will be seen portraying the role of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in 'Dangal' and will be seen wrestling in the ring. While this is the first time Khan is playing a wrestler, he has undergone extensive training for his role. Besides, he also had severe transformations as per the demand of his character. Besides, given the spectacular performances Aamir has been known for, it will be interesting to see him play such a character on the big screen.
2. Based on true and inspiring story
'Dangal' is based on a real-life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat. His struggle to make his daughters well-known wrestlers is quite impressing. The movie will have several incidents which might leave you teary-eyed as it will be a real take on the lived of the wrestlers.
3. Fresh cast
Apart from superstar Aamir Khan, 'Dangal' features some new faces. Television actress Sakshi Tanwar will be seen playing Khan's wife in the movie. Besides, the movie will also have newcomers Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra playing the roles of Geeta and Babita respectively. While Sanya is new to the showbiz world, Fatima has been a child artist in Kamal Hassan's 'Chachi 420'.
