Ram Gopal Varma, known for his controversial remarks, has again found himself in the eye of storm after his 'sexiest' tweet on Women's Day landed him in legal trouble.
On the occasion of International Women's Day he tweeted:"I wish all the women in the world give men as much happiness as Sunny Leone gives".
After his tweet on women, a complaint was filed by activist Vishaka Mhambre in Goa. Also, Film Studio Setting & Allied Mazdoor Union with 52,000 members decided to boycott Ram Gopal Varma for his controversial tweet.
This is not the first time that he has been a root cause for creating controverises. Here is the list of other remarks which landed him into controversies.
1) Shaming a journalist
Ram Gopal Verma shamed a female journalist for criticising 'Veerappan'. RGV shared a screen shot of her photo with caption on it. He wrote, "So as per your review "Veerappan" the film is as beautiful as your face." In next tweet he refused to apologise saying, "I am sorry for the content packaged in the intent but will not apologise for the intent behind the content." He has since deleted both the tweets.
2) Swachcha Bharat campaign advertisement
The director has slammed Government of India’s Swachcha Bharat campaign advertisement and adviced Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He tweeted, “Films division's Swachcha Bharat Ad is worse than Aag..Someone should tell Mr Narendra Modi that these kind of Ads will make India dirtier.”
3) 'Thunder thighs' comment for Sridevi
Ram Gopal Varma who has earlier confessed his love for the Sridevi took to Twitter saying that "Sridevi's fans have more respect for her than her husband, Boney Kapoor". He further added that Sridevi's fame is not only because of her acting capabilities, but also because of her thundering thighs.
4) RGV dedicates autobiography to porn star, gangster
After the release of Ram Gopal Varma’s autobiography ‘Guns and Thighs’ he dedicated it to the 'Aag' director and shared a picture and he wrote, “I dedicated my book to Ayn Rand, Bruce Lee.Urmila Matoandkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Pornstar Tori Black and a few gangsters.” He added, “The dedication to them was in accordance with their tremendous contribution in my life one way or the other.”
5) Wishing Ganesh Chaturthi in his way
RGV kicked the debate by wishing Ganesh Chaturthi in his way. He said on Twitter, “The guy who couldn't save his own head from being cut, how he will save others heads is my question? But Happy Ganpathi day to morons!” As this was just the beginning, he added, “Can someone explain how someone can cut off a child's head who was just trying to protect his mother's modesty? Am sure devotees know better”.
