Seems acting is no more interesting enough for the sizzling and gorgeous Deana Uppal. She has now announced that she will try her hands in directing films. The former Miss India-UK will soon begin shooting of a documentary based on the Banjara community, the nomadic people from north-western part of India.
Deana Uppal has also been a part of the Indian version of ‘Fear Factor’, ‘Khataron Ke Khiladi’ Season 5, and has appeared in few movie projects, including Yeh Hai India, Hard Kaur and Bhaag Johnny.
Deana Uppal’s way to direction
Deana said she has recently finished a filmmaking diploma from London Film Academy and that she felt more persuaded towards direction. Deana’s fans have seen her in many glamorous roles but the former Big Brother UK contestant has for now taken the director’s chair. Deana will be shooting in different parts of Rajasthan including Jaisalmer, Udaipur and Jodhpur, closely following the nomadic community’s lifestyle for 3 weeks.

Deana told IANS she will closely follow and depict daily lives of the nomadic community in her documentary and will also illustrate whether and how the government is involved and if they are getting any help or not. Banjara community’s weddings, traditional ceremonies will also be a part of her documentary.
