Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3:Major falls that made the Long Night

New Delhi:

The longest episode of Game of Thrones aired worldwide and like promised was the longest , most catastrophic and dark episodes in the last eight season.

The real war between the dead and the undead is finally over and star warrior will pop your eyes wide open if you haven't watched the episode already.

Several fan favourites were taken off the playing field today. HBO's fantasy masterpiece hasn't pulled any punches when killing off beloved characters in the past, so who should we brace ourselves to say goodbye to them this episode.

The episode begins with Melisandre entering the scene yet again as the army waits for the night army. She is let to enter the castle and the first one she faces is Sir Davos who had earlier ordered to execute her for sacrificing Prince Shereen. The unexpected character play a key role in the war by casting a spell that light up all the trenches of the Winterfell fort

As the army of Winterfell gets ready, Jamie, the new knight Braine of Tarth, Giantsbane, The Hound, Grey Worm take their position at the forefront. Theon Greyjoy takes charge to guard Bran at teh weirwood forest.

Edd becomes the first major human casualty of the war, trying to save Sam from getting killed. Unable to fight the undead, the armies retreat to Winterfell, where Lyanna Mormont is standing guard. Meanwhile, Viserion lands where Bran Stark is being protected.

Dany and Jon Snow join the war in their dragons and the night king approaches in his own dragon. Although Dany succeeds in saving Jon snow once but fails to burh him down with her dragon but in fact, he throws his spear on Drogon injuring the beast.

And in one of the most upsetting moments of the episode, the feisty Lady of Bear Island Lyanna Mormont (Bella Ramsey) takes on the giant zombie only to be crushed in his hands — but she doesn’t go out easily. She stabs him in the eye before breathing her last breath, bringing the giant down.

The people at the crypt from Sansa to Lily too face the dead with the the later breathing her last but what stole our heart was the ladyof Winterfell and Tyrion Lanister confessing their love for each other as the see their end approaching near.

And in one of the most upsetting moments of the episode, the feisty Lady of Bear Island Lyanna Mormont (Bella Ramsey) takes on the giant zombie only to be crushed in his hands — but she doesn’t go out like a punk. She stabs him in the eye before breathing her last breath, bringing the giant down.

Theon Greyjoy faces the Night King but almost makes a suicidal attempt. The Night King reaches Bran and is about to kill him and OUT OF NOWHERE comes Arya. As the Winterfell army along with Jon Snow and Dany, gives up, Arya entry makes hears skip beat. she narrowly escapes daeth and in turn draws dragon glass dagger on the Night King in turn, his entire White Walker army dies — including his precious dragon.

Some of the scenes were too dark to figure out, but we have to say that our hearts were in our mouths especially when Jon Snow and Daenerys, had some very narrow escapes and favourites turned to dust fighting for the prominent characters.

Nevertheless, the epic battle episode that was build up for the last seven seasons along with the political battle at the King's Landing deserved a better climax. But fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as the savagery is done and dusted and the real action to come is a war of minds, to be waged among all the show’s remaining players, not just the ones with swords.
