Finance Minister Piyush Goyal today presented the last budget of the Narendra Modi government. With the interim budget 2019, comes a good news for Indian cinema and filmmakers. As per the new budget, a single window clearance will be made available to filmmakers both Indian and foreign to ease shooting for films. Not just that, Anti- cam recording provisions will be introduced to ensure piracy is curbed under Cinematography Act.

It must be noted that it was only recently that the who’s who of Bollywood had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi where all the issues related to cinema and the industry were discussed. The delegation which went to meet the PM included Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Ekta Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal among others.
As per reports in Pinkvilla, a source had informed, "A courtesy meeting turned into a very uplifting dialogue. Talked about how the industry has always played an important role building a better nation, a better society through entertainment. Spoke about various issues concerning the Industry and thanked and acknowledged PM for GST change and giving space to the industry to connect. Many interesting ideas were discussed and the young delegation is excited to contribute more with more energy for the country."
