A new song from the movie Gully Boy 'Apna Time Aayega' is finally out to woo its fans. The song has Ranveer Singh showing off his brilliant rapping skills. Composed by Divine and Dub Sharma, the song is penned by Divine and Ankur Tewari.

The song starts with an opening shot of Mumbai Slums and a band of guys beat-boxing and rapping while a skinny boy-Ranveer Singh enters the scene with blazing eyes. Here’s a part of raging and intense lyrics from the song. Read on:

Uth ja apni raakh se

Tu ud ja ab talaash mein

Parwaaz dekh parwaane ki

Aasmaan bhi sar uthaayega

Aayega Apna Time Aayega

Meray jaisa shaana lala tujhe na mil paayega

Yeh shabdon ka jwaala meri bediyyan pighlaayega

Jitna toonay boya hai tu

Utna hee toh khaayega

Darr ko bhi sataayega

Zinda mera khwaab

Kaise tu dafnaayega

In the film, Ranveer plays the role of Indian rapper Divine, who is known for songs like 'Meri Gully' and 'Roots'. Alia and Kalki Koechlin, play contrasting love interests. While Alia will be seen playing a lively young girl from a background similar to that of Ranveer Singh's character, Kalki will portray the success he aspires to.

Ranveer is currently riding high on the success of his last release, Simmba. The film has crossed over Rs 200 crore and has already broken many records. Likewise, Alia starred in the critical and commercial success, Raazi, in 2018. The two are all set to reunite with director Karan Johar’s ambitious Mughal era epic, Takht, which also stars Vicky Kaushal and Kareena Kapoor, among others.

The film directed by Zoya Akhtar releases on February 14.
